TCS NQT is exclusively open for candidates from the batch of 2026 with the following academic degrees: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / M.E. / M.C.A. / M.Sc / M.S. in any specialization offered by AICTE / UGC recognized universities / colleges.

Candidates pursuing or completing B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc from AICTE/UGC recognised institutions can apply. The exam is exclusively open for the 2026 batch.
Candidates between 16 and 26 years of age can apply. Minimum age is 16 years and maximum is 26 years.
TCS NQT allows a maximum overall academic gap of 2 years throughout your education history.
Yes, all engineering branches are eligible for B.E./B.Tech. For M.E./M.Tech, circuital branches are preferred. Non-engineering graduates (BCA, BSc, BCom) are generally not eligible.
Yes. Registration alone is not sufficient. You must also click 'Apply for Drive' on the TCS NextStep portal to be considered for the hiring process.
Candidates applying for TCS NQT should create their profile under the IT category on TCS NextStep portal — not BPS.

However, many colleges may directly proceed to the online assessment without a PPT.
