C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing) is a government organisation under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.

Graduate in Engineering or Technology (10+2+4 or 10+3+3 years) in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical / Instrumentation.

Eligibility FAQ

C-DAC is a 6-month industry-oriented training program that prepares students with practical skills in IT and helps them get placement through its centralized placement system.

Admission is through the C-CAT (Common Admission Test). You need to apply online, appear for the exam, qualify and participate in counselling.

C-CAT is conducted twice a year — in January (for the February batch) and in July (for the August batch).

No, placement is not guaranteed. However, C-DAC offers good placement chances along with strong training and interview preparation support.

All C-DAC courses are 24 weeks (6 months) full-time programs with intensive training.

Yes, many courses allow non-IT engineering students as well as MSc students from Maths, Physics or Statistics backgrounds.

CCPP stands for Common Campus Placement Programme. It is the centralized placement system of C-DAC where students from all centres participate and 400+ companies hire.

Minimum eligibility is B.E / B.Tech in IT, CS, Electronics or related fields, OR MCA / MSc in CS, IT or Electronics. Some courses also allow any engineering branch or a Maths/Statistics background.

Yes, final year students can apply. However, the degree must be completed before joining the course and proof must be submitted later.

No, BCA / BSc / BCom students are generally not eligible for C-DAC PG Certificate courses. The minimum eligibility required is B.E / B.Tech or MSc / MCA in relevant fields like CS, IT or Electronics.
