SEBI Grade A (IT) is a specialized officer-level position in the Securities and Exchange Board of India, which regulates and develops India’s financial markets.
It is the Information Technology stream of the Assistant Manager (Grade A) role. Unlike the general stream, this role focuses on technical and digital infrastructure that powers SEBI’s operations.

According to the recent notification, Phase 1 is expected to be held on January 10, 2026. SEBI IT Phase 1 for the IT recruitment process consists of an online examination that will be objective in nature. The online exam consists of two papers of 100 marks each, where Paper 1 will be common for all streams, having multiple-choice questions on various subjects, and Paper 2 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the specialized subject related to the Information Technology stream.

The paper will be available in both English and Hindi, except for the test of English in Paper 1.
 If you clear Phase I, you move to Phase II, which is tentatively scheduled for February 21, 2026. Candidates shortlisted from Phase 1 will move on to the Phase 2 exam. SEBI IT Phase 2 for the IT stream will consist of two papers carrying 100 marks each. Paper 1 will be Descriptive English, which will be common for all the streams.

The complete notification of the SEBI IT exam 2025 has just been released. It states that there are a total of 132 vacancies for various streams, including General, Research, IT, Legal and Rajbhasha.
